Mounjaro vs Wegovy
Mounjaro and Wegovy are both weekly prescription weight-loss injections, but they are not the same medicine. The simple difference
Mounjaro
Contains tirzepatide. It acts on GIP and GLP-1 receptors and is prescribed after suitability checks.
Wegovy
Contains semaglutide. It acts on GLP-1 receptors and is also prescribed after suitability checks.
Both are injections
Both are usually taken once a week, with dose changes over time when appropriate.
Neither is automatic
